I was born in Columbia, MO, and I was what you might call an Air Force brat. My dad was in the Air Force and I moved 31 times by the time I was 18. My sophomore year of high school, we ended up in Weston, MO. Luckily for me, my family decided to stay long enough for me to graduate high school in Weston, and I have stayed in this area ever since. I went on to get my Masters of Business Administration with a double major in Human Resources and Marketing. I have worked in many fields, from doctor’s offices to elementary education and even managing a restaurant for over 4 years. I decided I needed a change of pace and wanted to really make a difference, so I applied as a legal assistant for Summers & Johnson. I was so excited to get hired on with this firm, because everyone here is so friendly and compassionate and I feel like I make a difference every single day in the lives of our clients.
When I am not working, I keep busy with my little family of 5! I married my high school sweetheart, Stephen and we have 3 amazing boys! Devin, our oldest lives with his fiancé, Caity, in Arkansas. We enjoy visiting them and hanging out at local breweries and playing with their dogs, Boone and Oakley. Dylan, our middle son, is in the Army and is stationed in North Carolina at Fort Bragg. He is an MP and while he enjoys the work, he will definitely be ready to leave the Army in less than a year and come home to start college. When he comes to visit, we always break out the board games and scary movies! He is the son who is most like me! Xander, our youngest, still lives at home, with his girlfriend, Ireland. He went to school and became a welder and recently started a welding job with a small, down to earth company and he seems to enjoy the work. He enjoys playing video games online with his brothers and shooting guns with his best friend Noah.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing with our dogs, Aspen (Australian Kelpie mix) and Maggie (English Mastiff) and our cat, Clover! I also enjoy all sorts of arts and crafts, including photography, watercolor painting, acrylic painting, and bullet journaling, as well as just relaxing with a good book in my hammock! Before COVID, I loved going antiquing and visiting new coffeeshops as well! This is the type of stuff that keeps me sane!
